Join me in supporting this special camp that gives Evan and so many others living with T1D the opportunity to be independent, socialize and feel "normal" and get that summer camp experience. It's not just a summer camp for these kids..it's their home away from home. I wont ever forget Evans first summer there... he was 7 and during the bonfire they asked him, "what do you like about Camp Nejeda?" He responded that Camp Nejeda is his second home. Everyone beeps, everyone goes high, low..doesnt matter..in the end all they want to be is kids enjoying their summer like everyone else. We just do it with a little more planning.
