Help me support Camp Nejeda
I’m starting this fundraiser to celebrate my 30th birthday. I’ve been giving annually to Camp Nejeda for a few years now because they’re an organization doing really meaningful work that is part of my own story.
It was really scary to be diagnosed with diabetes, which for me happened 20 years ago when I was ten years old. The community I found among friends my own age experiencing the same struggles helped reshape an isolating event into an empowering one. Camp Nejeda helped me become who I am today!
For every one of me there are kids beginning that journey today. Running a camp for kids with diabetes is expensive. They need cash for real operational needs ranging from medical supplies to regular old camp equipment - archery! canoeing! swimming! - and even to just keeping the cost asked of campers as low as possible.
This is why I’m asking you to consider helping me support this worthy organization as I ring in this next decade of life
